Spring 2008 Work Party Schedule

Spring is on its way, and we’re ready to get back on the land. Mark your calendars for these upcoming work parties.
Saturday April 5, 2008 Naas Natural Area Preserve 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Directions and tool requests will be sent after RSVP
This is the site of an important prairie restoration project, so you’ll get a quick site tour of our plans and progress in addition to helping with spring cleaning and forest area restoration.
We will be doing the following:
- Planting shrubs along the roadside for screening
- Clearing the walking trails
- Phase II of removing invasive vines from the forest
Friday April 25, 2008 Hammons Preserve 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

We just completed the Management Plan for this property and have begun removing blackberries and getting the site ready for visitors. There’ll be a special treasure hunt or two for this work party, so please come!
We will be doing the following:
- Installing signs and posts
- Pruning trees
- Invasive plant removal
- A special kind of spring cleaning
