In addition to annual membership, our staff would be happy to talk with you about other ways to give that will best meet your personal interests and goals.
Contribution or Pledge
We invite you to donate securely online or to make a pledge and pay over a period of time.
Corporate matching gifts can maximize the impact of your contribution. Many companies and government agencies have a matching gift program for employees. If your company matches gifts, please enclose a matching gift form in order to double or even triple your individual giving.
Special Land Project Campaigns
Donations for special projects, such as Hammons Family Farm, enable us to conserve threatened land requiring our most critical attention. The Land Trust raises restricted donations to protect at-risk lands for permanent conservation. Donating to these special project campaigns allows you to target your giving in an area of special geographical, habitat or conservation interest. Donations also provide important leverage and match for grant funding.
Planned Giving our Legacy Circle
By planning today, you can leave a legacy that makes a long-term difference on our islands. You may also reduce or eliminate estate, inheritance or gift taxes while providing your family the full benefits of your life’s work. The Whidbey Camano Land Trust’s Legacy Circle is a special group of donors who name the Land Trust as a beneficiary of all or part of their estate, including money, property, insurance policies, securities, retirement plans or charitable remainder trusts with contingencies for survivors. Tax advantages can allow you to make a greater gift than you thought possible while benefiting your family, heirs and our islands. The type of asset and the way it is given determines its actual tax and financial benefits. Certain planned gift arrangements provide an opportunity to diversify holdings, turn highly appreciated assets into a gift that provides you income, or maximize tax savings.
Even if you are not able to make a substantial gift now, through a will or bequest, you can name the Whidbey Camano Land Trust as a recipient for a specific amount or a percentage of your residual estate. We will work closely and confidentially with you to ensure that your gift achieves your individual goals and expresses your personal vision for the Land Trust.
Please call our office at (360) 222-3310 to set up a confidential meeting to discuss your legacy of land conservation for future generations.
