PRESS RELEASE
Krueger Farm Dedication and Celebration
Come and celebrate the dedication of the newly protected open space at Krueger Farm. The event is on Wednesday, March 9, at 5 p.m. Please park at the Living Hope Foursquare Church parking lot, located at 185 NW Broadway Street, just a block off Highway 20. The event is sponsored by the Town of Coupeville and the Whidbey Camano Land Trust and will be held on the open space property, located just north of the church parking lot.
Two critical Krueger Farm parcels have been purchased and protected due to the generosity of the community, the efforts of the Friends of Krueger Farm and the Whidbey Camano Land Trust, and the cooperation of the Town of Coupeville and the landowners, Cecil and Kay Stuurmans.
The Town of Coupeville now owns 17 acres of open space at the Town entrance. The Whidbey Camano Land Trust holds an easement on the two parcels purchased by the community. This conservation easement will ensure the permanent protection of the open space and critical wildlife habitat for future generations.
