After an impressive summer internship, Brittany joined the Land Trust in November 2020. As a stewardship assistant, she spends a lot of time outdoors, monitoring, maintaining, improving, and restoring Land Trust protected lands and waters.
Before joining us, Brittany received an associate’s degree from Olympic College. She moved to Bellingham soon after to attend Western Washington University and quickly fell in love with the outdoors and felt a strong need to protect it. After discovering a passion for saving the environment, she joined the Washington Conservation Corps. She spent two years doing restoration work in Whatcom County and also responded to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and flooding in Okanogan as well as wildland fires in Western Washington.
Brittany and her husband Austin love to hike, birdwatch, hunt for mushrooms, and identify native plants.
