Jay joined the Board in 2019. A New England native, Jay moved to Whidbey Island in 2015. After college (BA, Gettysburg), graduate School (MPA, University of Hartford), and a stint in the Air Force (Medical Service Corps), he spent most of his working years teaching history at and managing historical sites in Massachusetts and Maine. He has worked for, sat on, or led numerous not-for-profit boards on the East Coast. Since coming to Whidbey, he has been affiliated with Whidbey Audubon, Sound Water Stewards, and Historic Whidbey. Jay enjoys playing music, listening to the Red Sox on the radio, and most of all, watching birds.
