Jenny Son joined the Board in January 2026. She spent her career as a nuclear engineer for the United States Naval Sea Systems Command. Her primary responsibilities involved the construction and repair of propulsion systems for submarines and aircraft carriers. Jenny spent her early childhood in the crowded urban environment of Seoul, Korea. To her, the natural beauty of the islands of Puget Sound are calming and restorative to her soul. Her favorite Land Trust property is Hammons Preserve. Her passion and hard work as a site steward at Hammons Preserve has led her to be nicknamed the “Hammons Mama”.
