John Boone

Board Member

John joined the Board in 2020 for the second time after originally serving from 2010 to 2016. He was a surgeon in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps before retiring in 2007 from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. John and his family moved to Greenbank in 2002. His favorite protected Land Trust property is the Hammons Preserve, where his son led the construction of a footbridge as an Eagle Scout project. John is active in the Central Whidbey Lions Club and is always willing to lend a hand on Land Trust work parties and other service jobs. John enjoys working on the land, camping, and traveling with his dog, Rider.
