Jon joined the Land Trust in December 2019. He is a member of the Conservation team and enjoys working with landowners and partners to protect the natural habitats, working lands, and open spaces in Island County.
Jon has spent nearly a decade working in the land trust community to conserve and steward fish habitat, forests, and farmland. Prior to joining the Whidbey Camano Land Trust, he directed the conservation efforts of the Great Peninsula Conservancy in Washington and was a land steward with the Vermont Land Trust. Jon holds a master’s degree in sustainable development and worked in the Philippines as a Coastal Resources Management Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps.
As a Seattle native, with a strong appreciation for Washington’s wild places, Jon is excited for the opportunity to contribute to the preservation of island landscapes he enjoyed exploring with his family as a youth.
