Katie joined the Land Trust as a land protection specialist in February 2022. Prior to joining the Land Trust, she spent six years in Norfolk, Virginia working on a variety of environmental education, climate resilience, and neighborhood redevelopment projects. She received a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy and planning from Virginia Tech.
Katie moved to Whidbey Island from Virginia last fall and quickly fell in love with the island’s beautiful landscapes and charm. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the island and surrounding areas with her husband Nick and dogs Fritz and Howard, hiking, camping, and trying new food.
