Lauren Joined the Land Trust in January 2024. She graduated from Austin College with her B.A. in international relations and received her M.S. from the College of Forestry at Oregon State University, where she studied forest governance. Before joining the Land Trust, Lauren lived and worked in Jackson, Wyoming, and worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia.
Lauren grew up in north Texas, where she spent time exploring lakes near the Red River with her family and developed a passion for sustainable and community-based natural resource management. She moved to the PNW in 2021, and is thrilled to consider Washington her new home! Lauren lives on South Whidbey and can be found hiking, sewing, reading, listening to podcasts, or Facetiming her mom.
