Mosa Neis

Resident Caretaker

Mosa joined the Land Trust in 2025 as the Resident Caretaker, taking on a blended role between stewardship and outreach. She grew up on Whidbey Island and graduated from South Whidbey High School. After leaving the Island for two decades to pursue higher education and build a career, she spent thirteen years working in the energy industry, gaining broad professional experience and organizational insight. Upon returning to Whidbey, she dedicated the past decade to land stewardship and the restoration of native habitats, contributing to the long‑term ecological resilience of the region. Outside of work, she enjoys botanizing, fishing, and exploring the natural world that has shaped her lifelong connection to the Island.
