Tom Haensly

General Counsel

Tom became the Land Trust’s in-house general counsel in 2019. He retired from his 30-year private real estate, estate planning, and conservation law practice in 2019, which included serving as the Land Trust’s outside attorney since 1998. He received his law degree from Stanford Law School and has an M.S. in wildlife ecology. Tom’s outdoor passions include fly fishing, whitewater boating, and hiking. He lives in Shoreline but has a long-standing affinity for the natural resources and landscapes of Whidbey and Camano islands.
