Donated in 2022, the Dalzell-Maxwelton conservation easement protects approximately 14 acres of wetland habitat adjacent to Miller Lake in upper Maxwelton Valley. In addition to providing habitat for an abundance of wildlife, these wetlands help enhance local climate resilience, water quality and drainage benefits. The conservation easement also provides the Land Trust with rights to complete restoration activities on the property to support the long-term functionality of Miller Lake and the upper Maxwelton Valley ecosystem.
