In 2017, a conservation angel decided to protect an amazing 140-acre forest on South Whidbey Island, purchasing the property and immediately donating to the Land Trust a conservation easement that removed all development and timber rights, forever protecting this forest and wetland gem and assuring permanent public access.  In addition to its inherent conservation value, the property also ties together three other Land Trust protected lands, creating a 380-acre block of permanently conserved forest.

“I wanted to conserve a forest because this is a critical time for this jewel of a planet. It’s incumbent on people to do what they can.”

– Anonymous donor of Raven’s Forest Forever
