The anticipated public opening of Possession Sound Preserve is now only a few months away thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers, work crews, and Land Trust staff.
We’re thrilled to welcome Janett Wingett of Camano Island and Michael Stansbury as the newest additions to the Land Trust’s board of directors.
Eric Lamers spent more than two decades carefully tending to his Camano Island forest making it healthier for plants and wildlife. As a tribute to her late husband, and to preserve the property their family loves, Jan Lamers worked with the Land Trust to permanently protect it.
In recent months, some generous donors stepped forward with additional gifts to create a $75,000 year-ending matching challenge. That means that every new donor’s gift, and every current member’s gift above their annual donation, will be doubled!

Out of an abundance of caution for our community, staff members, devoted volunteers and supporters, we’re temporarily closing our office at Greenbank Farm through March 31. We’re also canceling all presently scheduled Land Trust events and volunteer work parties until such gatherings are deemed safe to resume.
