Upcoming Volunteer Events

• We highly recommend registering in advance for a work party. If the work party is noted as full on the website, email Taylor Schmuki at taylor@wclt.org to be added to a waitlist.
• All volunteers need to complete a liability waiver each year. Printed copies will be available the day of the work party but you can fill it out early and submit electronically to taylor@wclt.org. Waivers for those under 18 must be signed by an adult.
• Work parties are affected by inclement weather and vegetation growth. Project descriptions are broad because the exact work needed is unknown until closer to the date. If you have questions about a specific work party, or want to learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact taylor@wclt.org.
• Most work parties take place in remote areas. Unless noted otherwise, do not expect a bathroom to be available on the site.

Work Party Schedule

Possession Sound Preserve Maintenance
Wednesday, May 13, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Help with trail and plant maintenance at this preserve in Clinton. Assist with clearing grass, laying cardboard and spreading mulch.
All ages welcome!
Difficulty Level: Moderate

Walking Ebey’s Wildfire Prevention
Tuesday, May 19, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Join us at this trail system in Coupeville to help with wildfire prevention. We will be trimming, collecting and dispersing fallen wood.
Difficulty Level: Moderate

Keystone Preserve
Friday, May 29, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Weed removal, trail building and farm assistance – oh my! Help out at this preserve in Coupeville, not yet open to the public.
