Connecting Communities to Conservation
At the Whidbey Camano Land Trust we believe that lasting conservation starts with education and engagement. Our Outreach & Education Program connects people of all ages to the natural world through hands-on experiences, guided learning, and community partnerships.
Our Programs

Our community programs are designed to bring people together to explore, learn and take action for conservation. Whether you’re a lifelong nature enthusiast or just beginning your journey, there’s something for everyone! Join our expert naturalists on scenic walks through local landscapes, where you’ll learn about native plants, wildlife and ongoing conservation efforts. From birdwatching basics to sustainable land management, our educational opportunities provide valuable insights into local ecology and conservation practices.

Connecting Kids to Conservation
The Connecting Kids to Conservation program brings local students into nature, fostering a love for the outdoors through interactive field trips and hands-on restoration projects. The Land Trust collaborates with educators to align our programs with school curricula, ensuring meaningful and impactful learning experiences. Kids are inspired by visits to old-growth forests, rare native prairies, natural coastlines and tidelands, and working farms. This program builds understanding of ecological intersections and interdependence through observation and immersive experience.
