In 2014, working with the Land Trust, the Janicki family was able to add 34 acres of forest land, situated across the street from their existing 51-acre working forest near Crockett Lake, and place both properties under a single, working forest conservation easement.  The conservation easement removed all development potential and allows sustainable timber management. Expanding the family’s forest and beloved camp site was a wonderful and unexpected benefit of their choosing to protect it.
