When a critical 42-acre forested property adjacent to the Kettles Trails county park went up for sale, we took quick action to secure it and expand the Island County park. The property connects the Libbey Road parking area to the Kettles Trails, providing vastly improved public access to this popular recreation area, particularly for mountain bikers and equestrians. It also protects open space and scenic views along a half-mile of Highway 20.
