Located south of Miller Lake, the Maxwelton Preserve comprises 24 acres with open water, shrub wetlands, and forest edge that create excellent habitat for birds, mammals and amphibians. The abundant wetlands filter groundwater and maintain water flow into nearby creeks to benefit downstream riparian-dependent species and salmon habitat.
