In 2020, the Land Trust facilitated the donation of 65 acres of adjacent forestland to Washington State Parks to expand Fort Ebey State Park and 3 acres to Island County to expand the Kettles Trail System. The Land Trust maintains a conservation easement on the 65 acres that is now a part of Fort Ebey State Park. This project expanded connectivity of protected forest habitat while providing the opportunity to extend public recreational trail systems for public use. This project was completed in partnership with the U.S. Navy.
