Larry Harris served two terms on the Land Trust’s board of directors.

The Land Trust and island conservation community lost a dear friend recently. Larry Harris lived a long and rich life dedicated to the betterment of the world. He served two terms on the Whidbey Camano Land Trust board of directors. He was so very humble and so very wise.

What many of us never knew were Larry’s adventures as a world traveler, his Ivy League education, commitment to mental health, military service, and life-long career as an educator in places such as Beirut, Lebanon, and New Delhi. But what he loved most was his family and his Whidbey Island home.
