Grateful to be a Puget Sound Energy Powerful Partner

The Whidbey Camano Land Trust is thrilled to be a recipient of Puget Sound Energy’s Powerful Partnership program. We’re one of 24 environmental and human resource organizations chosen to be a Powerful Partner in 2020. With this recognition comes a $5,000 award!

The Whidbey Camano Land Trust is a sponsorship recipient of Puget Sound Energy’s Powerful Partnership program in 2020.

Preserving our beautiful natural spaces and vibrant communities are top priorities for Puget Sound Energy (PSE). Realizing that there are local nonprofits, like us, that are working toward a similar goal, PSE wanted to help us in our efforts here on Whidbey and Camano islands.

Last year, we received a $1,000 safety grant from PSE which we used to make our jobs safer around our wetland preserves. We purchased a kayak to navigate waters more safely, three sets of waders for our stewardship team to stay warm and dry, one life vest, and a spotting scope to scan properties from greater distances as well as be helpful in spotting wildlife.
